Artist Statement

I started painting three years ago.

I am an Expressionist more because it seemed to choose me. Emotions can come out through painting in wild ways. My strokes are that of someone who is uniquely me.

The rebel side of me came out as well. Emotions that needed to be expressed, the intense ones deep down, you can barely give words to, were coming out with use of unusual tools I was drawn to. A metal Scraper, a car wash sponge, a water bottle became my tools to paint with.

I let myself go into a musical zone in every painting. I play something, and paint based off what emotions come up. I rarely paint without music.

What I want others to see is wide open. On most paintings, I do not sign the front, because if you like it from another angle, you can hang it that way as well. Expressionism is raw, powerful, and a strong force, it is based on feelings.
